පර්ත් සිංහල පාසලේ 2024 වසර සඳහා පහත ශිෂ්ය ශිෂ්යාවන් නායකත්ව තනතුරු සඳහා පත් කරන ලදී. මෙහිදී පාසලේ 11 (Year 12 Accelerate) සහ 10 (Year 11 Accelerate) වසරවල දැනට අධ්යාපනය ලබන සිසු සිසුවියන්ට ප්රමුඛතාවය ලබාදුන් අතර, පැරකුම් නිවාසයේ පමණක් 11 සහ 10 වසරවල සිසු සිසුවියන් නොමැති නිසා නව වන ශ්රේණියේ ඉගෙනුම ලබන එම නිවාසයේ සිටින සිසු සිසුවියන්ට අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙන ලදී.

Wasantha Mela (Spring Fair) 2015 was held on the 24th of October at Melville Civic Centre Main Hall from 10.00am to 5.00pm as an inclusive community event including Sri Lankan food, products such as batik, handloom, wooden products, painting together with diverse cultural items consisting Kandyan Dancing, Ana Bera Kolama, Salu Paliya, Dramas, Items with Sri Lankan Drumming, Kavadi Dance and a two hour special musical program. Also there were special activities for children including art and craft workshops and face painting. More than 1,000 Sri Lankans and various local groups attended the event. PSS received a very positive feedback for the entire program. Ms Rebecca Ball, Executive Director of the Office of Multicultural Interests attended the event as a special guest and made very positive comments about the program.

Screening of Maha Raja Gemunu Movie
As another fund raising activity the committee was successful to screen the historic movie “Maha Raja Gemunu” film on the 15th of March 2015 at Grand Cinema (Cygnet), Como with the support of Sa-Roo Creations, Victoria. The film was also screened as a houseful movie while earning a net surplus of $4,111.70 Perth screening by PSS was the first international screening of the film and it was great to screen this film in Perth while it was screening in Sri Lanka. Further Perth screening was organized in parallel to the 50th screening of “Maha Raja Gemunu” with the presence of veteran film director Jayantha Chandrasiri. PSS was also successful to provide a unique experience to Perth audience by organizing a special panel discussion about the film together with its film director. The discussion was held on the 14th of March as “Niskalanka Sandaawak” and provided a platform to discuss the background and core message of the film while sharing cinematic and dramatic experiences of Jayantha Chandrasiri.
Our 1st Sausage sizzle
With the theme of “generating funds through fun”, the committee could run a sausage sizzle at Bunnings, Maddington on the 30th of March 2014. As a net income, the committee could earn an amount exceeding $900.
Muthu Keta Vessa 1 Concert
This concert was presented as a children concert with 132 children on the 23rd of March 2013 at Swan Park Theatre, Midvale with the participation of Visharadha Samantha Perera, a renowned music director as the guest artist. This concert served two purposes and was a novel experience to Perth audience. Children got the opportunity to exhibit their talents in the spheres of drama, singing, dancing and instrumental music. The School could raise a net income of $11,062 as the net proceeds of the Concert and the School could purchase an interactive LED panel, a projector, a projection screen and a notebook computer using the funds raised.
Rhythm of Heart 1 Workshop
This was the first workshop conducted as a music workshop with the establishment of Children Aesthetic Centre of Perth Sinhala School. The workshop was conducted from 18th January to 30th January 2014 at the Bentley Community Centre and Wilson Community Centre. The key resource person was Visharadha Samantha Perera and the assistance was provided by Visharada Yasharu Perera. 62 children participated for the workshop.
Muthu Keta Vessa 2nd Concert (The Rain of Talents)
The concert was presented to Perth Community on the 25th of April at Swan Park Theatre, Midvale with 148 children and 3 guest artists including Visharadha Samantha Perera, Saranga Abeysinghe and Shamila Dediwela. The theme of the concert was illustrating the beauty of 12 months highlighting the rich culture of Sri Lanka. The orchestra and choir item presented by 64 children was a unique piece of the event and it was presented as the major outcome of “Rhythm of Heart 2” workshop to make the concert a flamboyant one.
Rhythm of Heart 2nd Workshop
The 2nd workshop of Children Aesthetic Centre of Perth Sinhala School was conducted over 10 days from 7th April to 17th April with 64 children. The workshop covered music, Sri Lankan drumming and dancing. As the resource persons Visharadha Samantha Perera, Saranga Abeysinghe and Shamila Dediwela provided an enormous contribution. Visharadha Yasharu Perera and Nirupadhi Perera provided a special assistance to conduct the workshop.

Annual Prize Giving 2013/2014
It was held on the 21st of June 2014 at Canning Town Hall, Cannington. Dr Senaka Welideniya, a former senior lecturer of Moratuwa University, Sri Lanka attended the function as the Chief Guest and delivered a special speech highlighting the importance of learning Sinhalese language. At the prize giving 179 certificates, trophies and prizes were awarded to children under 8 categories including oratory, singing, hand writing, attendance, story book writing, class proficiency, project work and leadership. Releasing school song written by Senaka De Silva and composed by Visharadha Samantha Perera at this event was another milestone of the School.

Screening of Samanala Sandhwaniya Movie
The movie was screened at Cygnet Cinema in Como on the 07th of September 2014 with the support of Young Cricketers and Major Sports Development Program of Victoria Inc. The committee could raise a record breaking net income from this houseful movie, amounting to $6,891 while screening an artistic, award winning movie which was enjoyed very much by the spectators. Funds raised were used to purchase Sri Lankan drums for the School while upgrading School’s sound system.
Swarna Rashmi
The committee was much successful in organizing a music concert named “Swarna Rashmi” which was presented to Perth Community on the 15th of February at Swan Park Theater, Midvale. Visharadha Samantha Perera, Visharadha Pradeepa Dharmadasa and Indika Upamali performed as the main artists of the concert. 116 children engaged in this concert to present few items making the concert a flamboyant one. The orchestra and choir item presented by 56 children was a unique piece of the event and it was presented as the major outcome of “Rhythm of Heart” first workshop. In spite of the competitive environment, the committee could raise a profit exceeding $5,000 from this event.

Our 1st Annual Prize Giving
The Annual Prize Giving was held on the 9th of June 2013 at Canning Town Hall, Cannington. Associate professor Lakshman Alles from Curtin University attended the function as the Chief Guest and the committee introduced awarding trophies and medals for the first time in addition to prizes and certificates to the winning students.
පර්ත් සිංහල පාසලේ අධ්යයන කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය
පාසල් කමිටුව විසින් කරන ලද අනුමත කිරීම් අනුව 2021 අධ්යයන කටයුතු කළමනාකරණය කිරීම සහ ඉගැන්වීම් සඳහා පහත ගුරු මහත්ම, මහත්මීන් සහ ගුරු සහායක, සහායිකාවන් පත් කර ඇති බව සතුටින් දැනුම් දෙමු. ඒ අනුව අධ්යයන කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය 22 න් සමන්විතය.

පර්ත් සිංහල පාසලට තවත් අධ්යාපනික ජයග්රහණයක් ලබා ගැනීමට මෙම වසරේදී හැකිවූ බව ඉතා සතුටින් දැනුම් දෙමු. එනම් 2022 වසරේ සිට 11 වසරේ ඉගෙන ගන්නා සිසුන්ට 12 වසර සිංහල විභාගයට පෙනී සිටීමට (වසරක් කලින්) පර්ත් සිංහල පාසල තුළදී හැකිවීමයි (As an accelerated subject in Year 11). මෙම අවස්ථාව මුලින්ම ලැබෙන්නේ මෙම වසරේ 10 වන වසරේ අධ්යාපනය ලබන සිසු සිසුවියන්ටය.
